What would you say will be the next big trend in the UX Design?

Couple of big trends in UX Design for 2018 i'm seeing are:

• Building design system: People who are building application start see a big need beoynd styleguide. They want their brand's voice & tone got defined, they want something that can help them cook the feature faster (component library, coded ui kit,...), they want to tell a consistent, seamless & great story for their brand through a central place that consists of marketing assets to copy content to user interface elements.
• Redesigning the design process: People start seeing they need a better design process from UX to UI in order to be more innovative and get out of lots of common pattern out there. Also to minimize the effort for unnecessary tasks. From how to name a design file to properly track the creative progress.
• The rise of supporting tools: We see lots of design tool got released (Figma, Adobe XD, Framer X,...) also the design verioning app (Abstract, Cactus, Plant, Trunk...). Even invision stepped in to build an online Design system management app.
• "AI Powered": Carry on from last year, we still seeing lots of app got branded with "AI powered" or "We use Big data". This is not only a way to make the product sounds smarter, but also proves the trust of people in a smarter computer system where it can help them to complete their need faster and more reliable.

In Vietnam, i'm seeing changes too:

• Better user-centered design: I've been watching the internal market for awhile and start seeing our designers put more and more thought into their practice to bring in a better experience for their user. And they really mean it, people care more about personal, user journey, design system, styleguide, story telling....This is a great sign!
• UX gets an important seat on the table: Follow the upper trend, more than before, the imporance of a UX designer in the team is proven. Lots of team care more about making serious UX for their app while still maintain the business goal. People care more about consistency, look&feel, ease of use and how user user FEEL when they use the app. More and more discussion about UX rather than just businees goals, startup ideas and technical solutions.
