Whether or not someone achieves their aims is mostly by a question of luck. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

I most certainly disagree.
First of all, what is ''luck'' anyway? Your definition of ''luck'' may vastly differ from mine, and vice versa. Two different people looking at one same situation may see it in totally different ways.
Like when one scores his very first goal during a football match, person A may think that he merely were lucky, but person B may experience a boost in his pride, as he thinks it was totally his effort in practicing football skills that helped him score the goal.
My point is: it depends on the person's perception.
Another thing is that if you take a quick look at most successful people in the world, you'd be surprised that most of them didn't come from the richest or even happiest families (think Jack Ma or Elon Musk). No, many of them had a very turbulent childhood or at least gone through very difficult times on their way to success.
So can we say that those individuals were lucky, I doubt it. Or was it their effort that brought them success, that'd make more sense.
