Noron members who live / were born in Western countries, what do you think about the Feminism movement there?
So this is actually a ''homework'' project I have to get done for my course at school. Basically we have to write a short essay discussing the social movements occurring around the world.
For my essay, I chose feminism. This movement arguably originated from the Western world so guys, if you happen to live in these regions of the world, could you please share with me some thoughts on feminism?
How is it like over there where you live? Do women support it, do men support it? Do you support it, why or why not?
Thanks!

Feminism Movement,
My impression is that feminism needs more advancing and less disparaging, some psychology faculty and students believe that and I support their choice for no different reason.
The feminism movement has just emerged and gained attraction right after sexual harassment claims were made against film producer Harvey Weinstein by more than 80 women, that allegations he denies.
To my opinion, feminism is about choice, whether or not that choice is to shave their legs or not. Whether their dress in long or short dresses or heels or sneakers. It is their's and they only makes that choice, they need to work as a society to not pressure women into pre-defined roles as well.
A national survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation finds 6 in 10 women and one-third of men call themselves a feminist or strong feminist, with roughly 7 in 10 of each saying the movement is empowering.
Idealistically, I support the feminism movement.
Thanks for being invited to reply.
p/s: It's for reference instead of my own opinion.
