Have you ever been depressed, would you like to share with us?

I'll take the word "us" here to mean you guys on this Noron website. My answer is yes! I used to be depressed, I am grieving about a lot of problems in my life in my family, friends, environment surround. But that was about 4 years ago. I am much better now, having learned the life lessons myself, and my actions have brought about a certain change.
I learnt to love myself more. I will care but staying away. I value myself and my self respect more. I have forgiven them but I haven’t forgotten the hurt and the life lessons that came with it.
It is like you are good at walking, but you are crawling on a road with no traffic, because it is too crowded with memories, whys and what ifs.
It is when your presence is not acknowledged and your absence is not felt. It is when you feel that void in yourself and missing the one who you used to be.
It is the state of surrounded by people but detached from them. Tough place to steer, but you emerge stronger when you see that light on the other side.
You emerge stronger, when you snap out of it. Much much stronger.
Some like me stay away from those we love, for we don’t want to bother you all with our hurt or problems. We have already been misunderstood when all we wanted was to be understood and a shoulder to lean on and say “I know you aren’t whining and you are just being in pain”.
